This month we talk briefly to Matt Kaleda of newly formed company Sync Inc about his career thus far in the creative music industry and find out which projects he has worked on. Over to you Matt....

'After a failed career in Architecture and a few years hanging out in Barcelona, I came back to good old blighty in the mid 90’s and ended up working for a spell at PRS/MCPS.

I did the obligatory few years ‘apprenticeship’ at Berners St, and then landed myself a job at the BBC where I cut my ‘sync’ teeth. I was the nearest thing the Beeb had to a Music Supervisor for TV Drama, working on programmes such as Eastenders, Holby City, Dr Who, Life on Mars, Blackpool & Hustle. Mainly clearing music for use in the various shows but also getting involved in pre-production meetings, sourcing tracks and advising on music uses. This is where I really developed my passion for placing music to visuals.

After 5 and a bit years and gaining valuable experience i joined the world renowned independent company Ninja Tune/Just Isnt Music Publishing in 2005 as Sync Manager, i had a very successful few years placing artists & bands such as POP LEVI, FINK, COLDCUT & BONOBO into BMW MINI / MASTERCARD / O2 / CITREON C5 TV ad campaigns amongst others, Ninja Tune has always had a great track record of exploiting it's diverse roster of artists into various area's of audio visual media and the labels' founder's Coldcut are pioneers of mixing cutting edge music with the right visuals.

Last year I decided to take on the new and exciting challenge of 'Head of Creative Sync' at Warner Music, helping to revitalize the synchronization dept and maximize the truly vast worldwide catalogue.

Whilst at Warners I placed the vintage synth wielding NYC indie popsters JUPITER ONE into the new 'Mazda 6' TV campaign, CUT CHEMIST into the superb 'Fiat 500' relaunch TV campaign and the classic 'LIVING ON THE CEILING' by BLANCMANGE into a new 'Berocca' TV campaign.

With my new company Sync Inc there are many more exciting deals in the pipeline and i'm sure you will hear about these very shortly.'
